Rodolfo Kachanian was born in Milan in 1955, fourth generation of a family of carpet merchants. After studying economy and commerce in Lausanne, he start his business in Zurich within the family company.

On his return to Italy in 1984, for a few years he cooperates with his father, a leader in the oriental rug wholesale trade, until in 1988, drawn by his passion for antique carpets, he decides to open the Hermitage gallery, which he operates until 1998. After a top-level experience in antique textile art in Italy and abroad, thanks to the many achieved experiences, in october 2005 he decides to open a new gallery in the heart of Milan, Khotan RSK, as a last challenge in the search for quality and aesthetical taste.

Married to Mrs Afsaneh, he is the father of three children and the proud grandfather of little Oliver and Chantal.
